On behalf of the entire team of nurses at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, I am honored to present our 2023-2024 Nursing Annual Report. This report reflects the extraordinary dedication, compassion, and innovation of our nursing team as we continue to advance pediatric care and improve the lives of the children and families we serve.
These past two years have been distinguished by growth, resilience, and achievement. Building on the challenges and lessons of previous years, our nurses have demonstrated remarkable adaptability and leadership in driving initiatives that enhance patient care and safety. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of our work, from bedside care to groundbreaking research and community outreach.
Highlights of our 2023-2024 accomplishments include:
- National recognition through our 5th ANCC Magnet redesignation and our 3rd accreditation with distinction with the ANCC’s Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP)
- Advancing nursing excellence through the launch of our Center for Nursing Excellence
- Improving clinical outcomes through evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Supporting professional growth through our AONL Nurse Manager Transition to Practice program and our Leadership Experience Nurse Shadowing (LENS) program
- Enhancing the patient and family care and experience through the expansion of our patient navigation program
